· What is static var generator(STATCOM/SVG)? 

· Static var generator is used to improve power factor, through compensating reactive power actively and dynamically.

· Static var generator adopts high power three phase voltage type inverter as core, output voltage is connected to electric network through parallel connection with reactor, keeping same frequency and same phase as system side voltage. Through adjusting output voltage and system voltage amplitude relation to determine output power nature and value, realize static var compensation for power dynamic compensation.
